Different Types Of Cooking Games Author : Cookie Jeans Submitted : 2008-12-30 virtual patching00:03:04 Word Count : 548 Popularity: 18 Tags: cooking games, cooking, waitress games, pizza games, icecream games Author RSS Feed Many friends of mine are very interested in playing online cooking games. virtual patchingThey want to see for themselves the hype of these so called virtual virtual patchingkitchens that got the rest of the world hook on playing. The problem virtual patchingwith it is that they do not know what the best is in theses type of games are and how to play these kinds of games. (I do not actually think it抯 a problem. Problems for me consist of the global economic recession. I was merely virtual patchingrepeating what they say.) I told them that these kinds of online games have no single format to play and that to find the best is merely trial and error. I showed them some sites that feature cooking games and explained to them the mechanics of the various games. The first types of cooking games are what I call virtual patchingvirtual recipe. These types of games usually have a flash window with graphical representation of a kitchen counter and the various equipments needed to make a certain recipe. All one has to do is to hover the mouse to the proper kitchenware. If you have found the first ingredient or tool to use, it will light up. You would just then follow the next instruction to prepare the food. It is usually a step by step instruction on how to cook, bake, grill or roast something. This is accomplished by a mouse clicking: clicking on the next items or dragging and dropping them to other items. (Now, if you do not know what to mouse clicking, hovering and drag and drop is, better find a computer basics book, the next door computer geek or any teenager or any child for that matter.) The second types are those that involve some managerial skills. You are usually a manager of a restaurant or a bakeshop. You are given certain tasks to accomplish within a certain time frame. Once you accomplished the tasks within that time frame, you will move on to the next level where the tasks are more difficult and the time frame is shorter. Finishing the tasks within a minimum limit will usually earn the player a reward such as an extra life or bonus money. The third type is the miscellaneous games. They usually have no educational purpose whatsoever but they are just there to provide you with countless of hours of gaming pleasure, but since they are cooking games, the theme of the games are usually food and such. Some of these games are like the mix and match games where, for example, you match four burger patties together in a horizontal, vertical or diagonal pattern to get points or you just throw a certain kind of food to a moving target. Points are dictated by the number of hits you make within a certain time like a virtual food fight. (Like I said no educational value whatsoever but are entertaining nonetheless) So these are just some of the different types of cooking games, I hope that you too will find a game that you will like.
